Which is funny because Sara is already a model. And an actress. So why would she need a modeling portfolio starter? Because her wonderful agent (her mom) is ready to pass off the duties of agent. So we set Sara up at Hotel Duncan (in our favorite room, 505) in New Haven, CT for a diverse photo shoot. We had Elise O’Mara of Top Level Salon on hand to create three different looks for Sara. Beginning with natural beauty, we worked through a glam, smokey eye look and on to an avant garde tough chick look. Looks included everything from evening gowns to boudoir! Stopping only for a pizza break, we worked straight through most of the day, easily moving from one look to the next. The results are fabulous!
This was our first time covering the Trashion Fashion show and what a great event! The creativity in these fashion designs made from clean trash was amazing. Watch for all the images from the event to be posted Friday, April 25th at www.ExclusiveImageOnline.com/photocart.
Designers involved in this event (contact us to be listed here):
We first met Becky years ago when we were photographing a ballet by Connecticut Concert Ballet. She stole our hearts. Her beauty, strength and control makes her a star on the stage. So when the opportunity came up for us to photograph her off stage, we jumped on it! Working with this sweet, urban ballerina made our day. So humble. So amazing.
We love the gowns from The Wedding Dress in Portland, CT. Modern, glamorous and oh so soft! We met up with Shelley, the owner of The Wedding Dress, at Copper Beech Inn in Ivoryton, CT to photograph some of her newest dresses. The setting was dreamy, the models were stunning and the dresses topped it all off. We had the models lounging on the bench one minute and sitting in a beautiful claw-foot tub the next. No one’s job is more fun than ours. [wink] If you’re a local designer or shop owner, we’d love to work with you on your next commercial fashion photography project.
Hair & makeup by Elise O’Mara of Top Level Salon. Models Elise O’Mara and Kylie Frink.
Greg and Terry gave us a call, looking for portraits of themselves. We met with them and immediately could see their young love for each other. Wanting something formal for their wall portrait, we decided on Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, CT. Despite the soggy ground, we captured lovely couple portraits of them! These avid bowlers were amazed with the outcome.
We love this transformation! Kiley soft pink glow made for a beautifully feminine photo shoot. This modeling portfolio update perfectly complimented the looks she already had in her portfolio. It was absolutely frigid out but Kiley soldiered on! The adorable West Hartford Center made a perfect location for this update with its quaint suburban feel. And having Top Level Salon close by made it an extra perfect fit.
